Grammy Awards 2016 : Mohombi very first congolese singer nominated

It’s in his Label “ La Clique Musique  » office in the Center of Kinshasa that The Congolese wordwide star Mohombi has welcomed us for an exclusif interview. Mohombi is nominated to the 58th edition of Grammy Awards that will take place on the 15th of February at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Actually, he is the first musicien from DRCongo to reach that level. All congolese eyes are looking at him so that he may win th trophy in  » Best Latin Album  » category.

In few days, he will proceed to the inauguration of  » La Clique Musique  » studio based in Kinshasa so that congolese and foreign artists can record good quality songs.

 » This structure that will be shown very soon to public will help the music of my country shine again in the international market. My team and I have put on artistic, cultural, marketing and communicational strategies for promoting and selling artists produced by the label « , Mohombi told us.

Before the end of the first semester, La Clique Musique will launch creations by Lumino and Useni Kapita Papy Kero – Vodacom Best Of the Best second edition 2015 winner. About the delay for the launching of Papy Kero’s album, the artist has apologized in the behalf of all concerned partners in that project and reassure that his label is working hard to make the entire world listened to the music by this young musician born in Bukavu, in the East of DR Congo.

Apart from the HQ in Kinshasa, La Clique Musique has two extensions – One in Stockholm in Sweden and another one in Los Angeles in the USA. It’s has Universal Music and Warner Bros as partners.

In Spring 2016, Mohombi will launch a new single untitled  » I feel good « , produced by Jillionaire in featuring with Major Lazer. Before the end of this same year, he will put on air the album  » Muana Congo  » in which he will be connected to many congolese music stars and they will all sing in Lingala.

Talking about Okapi Awards that has disappeared after the first very successful edition, the artist has indicated that the award party will come back very soon, but in a new way, less expensive.  » We are open to proposals that can improve the philosophy of that projet. If the government could accompany, we would have been delighted and capable of doing the same big thing like the first edition « , Mohombi has concluded.
