200 Congolese English Clubs receive the books

The U.S. Embassy in DRC and Congolese American Language Institute (CALI) have organize the English Club Conference for English Club Leaders, the Saturday 25th 2015 at the courtyard of CALI. Many leaders and members were presents.

This conference was animate by Professor Kathleen Malu –English Language Specialist from United State and Dr. Bryce Smedley -Senior English Language Fellow of CALI. During this moment, the English Club Members and members had the opportunity to learn how manage and lead successful their English Club. The orators had to help improve English language abilities for Congolese of all ages and from a wide range of professions.

Two thousands Leaders of from more than 43 English Clubs newly created have received English language manuals for their English Clubs and their own reports. “ I am so happy to participate at this conference. I don’t forget this moment. Thanks a lot at U.S Embassy and CALI for this occasion ”, have been said Israel Tshishimbi –participant.

For remember, CALI is the oldest English language institute in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was fouded in 1962 and currently serves about 6,000 students throughout the year throuth its Kinshasa based classes. CALI provides English teacher and inspector training throughout the country and donates books and teaching materials to schools nationwide in addition to creating and supporting English clubs throughout the DRC.

CALI permits a Congolese people to access in the Anglophone world easily.
